Bed bench & hanging cabinet CAVU with a special cavity, inspired by the legend of Bocca della Verità. Created for Lonas. Founded in 1993, Lonas is a Lithuanian manufacturer of beds, mattresses and bedroom accessories.

An idea of adding an additional function to a monumental object gradually led to creation of the collection’s distinctive feature – a cavity for a book or other small objects, convenient for quick storage, partially covering the items. Easy to clean when bedside or hanging cabinets’ tops are lifted and can also act as a tray (for a cup, quick computer work in bed, etc.).

The shape alludes to a scene from the 1953 film ‘Roman Holiday’ with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. The marble Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth) disc in Rome, according to a legend, bites off a liar’s hand, if inserted into the cavity.

Available in 3 cm thick solid oak. Each piece is crafted using carefully selected oak patterns while the unique construction gives each object a look of an authentic and evolving design.
