While my designs are usually brought to life by manufacturers, this project took a different path. Its making coincided with my carpentry practice at Panarų Cechas, allowing me to take part in the process from the very beginning, starting with the preparation of the timber.
This step stool draws on the blue garden furniture that belonged to my grandparents, Brigita and Juozas, and its straightforward construction logic.
I am especially grateful to the skilled and meticulous carpenter who guided the process and helped bring this sentimental piece of furniture into being. A functional object with a personal connection to the past.
